South Beach Diet Core Training Plan
The South Beach Diet
Fitness Club Revolution
There's been a revolution in fitness training over the past several years. "Core" training has emerged as a new and improved way to achieve a stronger, healthier, and leaner body. The body's core -- which includes the abdominal, back, and pelvic muscles -- supports our joints and organs and helps us to maintain our posture during rest and exercise. These muscles are literally our center of power, and strengthening them can make everyday activities -- like lifting your children, getting in and out of your car, and putting away groceries -- easier. Furthermore, core training can prevent such conditions as shoulder and back pain, while facilitating cardiovascular exercise, all of which leads to weight loss. That's why Dr. Arthur Agatston, preventive cardiologist and creator of the South Beach Diet decided to develop the "Core Curriculum," a series of core-strengthening exercises that are the foundation of the South Beach Diet
Fitness Club.
What can you expect from your South Beach Diet Fitness Club training sessions? Each complete workout is made up of three components:
1) CARDIO exercises that get your heart rate up.
2) PREPARATION exercises that focus on posture and prepare your body for the Core Curriculum.
3) CORE CURRICULUM exercises that target your abs, back, and pelvis, and are the cornerstone of our program. Along with focusing on your body's core, these strengthening exercises are designed to tone your entire body.
You'll also get step-by-step instructions -- along with photographs and video demonstrations -- so you'll know how to perform each exercise easily, safely and effectively.
"I wholeheartedly believe that the components of the South Beach Diet® Fitness Club, combined with a healthy eating plan, are the keys to a stronger, leaner body," says Dr. Agatston. South Beach Diet
